Elizabeth Montero-Cefalo is a talented trainer with extensive experience with special needs children. She graduated from the University of Miami with a M.S. Ed in Early Childhood Special Education in 1995, with an emphasis on working with medically involved infants. Elizabeth has devoted 12 years of her career to working as a special education teacher in Miami-Dade County. While teaching at the District Office, her classroom was considered to be a model class, highlighting the impact of using Conscious Discipline when working with children with special needs. Dr. Becky Bailey selected Elizabeth as a Loving Guidance Associate and S.T.A.R. teacher for her expertise in implementing Conscious Discipline in the classroom and her ability to share this expertise in meaningful ways with others. 

As a trainer, she assists teachers and administrators in deepening their understanding of Conscious Discipline and adapting it to working with the special needs population. As a coach, she guides teachers through a manageable, step-by-step process of internalizing the skills and powers of Conscious Discipline. Elizabeth is committed to finding ways to connect with all children, especially the most difficult. She is a warm, heartfelt expert in her field, who is guaranteed to lead your staff in a memorable learning experience. Elizabeth presents in both Spanish and English.
