Vicky Hepler
Vicky Hepler is a two-time Teacher of the Year who serves as a Resource Teacher with Orange County Public Schools in Orlando, Florida. She provides training and classroom modeling for PreK-5th grade teachers on curriculum, classroom management, and best teaching practices. She spent 27 years in the classroom before coming into her current position with a mission to bring joy and enthusiasm to every child, every teacher, and every classroom. She also serves as an educational consultant who has worked with adults and children of all ages with the same mission of joy and enthusiasm in mind. Her Conscious Discipline model classroom has been featured in training videos and presentations, and she is assisting Dr. Becky Bailey in writing the books "Creating the School Family™" and “I Love You Rituals Curriculum”.
Vicky graduated from Purdue University with an Early Childhood Education degree in 1980. She has been teaching, developing curriculum, mentoring teachers and students, and training educators in Orlando since 1989. She was invited to be a clinical instructor for primary teachers at the University of Central Florida, and was instrumental in developing the first early childhood degree in Florida.
Vicky is not only a teacher and educational consultant, but a mother of two, allowing her to share strategies from her own life and connect with the people at all levels in her workshops. Since implementing Dr. Becky Bailey's Conscious Discipline program, the positive results in Vicky's personal and professional life have been dramatic. After teaching for over 27 years (and at a time when many feel they are burning out), Conscious Discipline has fanned the flame to make teaching joyful for Vicky, and she is anxious to share the light with others.
